Curious about the Institute? Sign up for a tour behind the scenes.

You will walk through stockrooms that are closed to the public and you get to see unique documents. An introduction to the Institute is displayed on video and a tour guide tells you all about the rich history of this institution. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours and is free of charge. It can be possible to focus on specific interests of the group, please contact us before.

For university working groups (HBO en WO) : An introduction to research in our archive

The IISH also offers an introduction to archival research for student groups accompanied by their instructor in Dutch or English. The students will learn the difference between archives and libraries, how they can search (our) collections and how to handle the material. It also possible to get a more in-depth look into a specific IISH-collection.  The introduction takes 1.5 hours.
