The European Historical Population Samples Network (EHPS-Net)
brings together scholars, developers and administrators of databases in the field of historical life courses. Parts of the EHPS-Net are an extended overview on databases, the E-journal Historical Life Course Studies and the EHPS-Net Collaboratory

Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI)
conducts scientific research on population issues and disseminates and enhances the use of demographic knowledge to stakeholders in academia, policy and society at large.

IPUMS-International
is a project dedicated to collecting and distributing census data from around the world. Its goals are to 1. Collect and preserve data and documentation, 2. Harmonize data and 3. Disseminate the data absolutely free.

The North Atlantic Population Project (NAPP)
is a is a machine-readable database of census microdata of Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Iceland, Norway, and the United States from 1801 to 1910.

The Demographic Data Base (DDB) 
is a special unit at Umeå University with activities focused on two main areas: data production and research. Data production includes input, filing and systematizing information from historical parish registers and parish statistics in Sweden.

The Netherlands Kinship Panel Study (NKPS)
The Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), Utrecht University (UU), the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and the University of Amsterdam are participating in the development of a large-scale database on Dutch families.

The Radboud Group for Historical Demography and Family History 
is the leading centre of expertise on historical demography in the Netherlands. The group combines a multidisciplinary approach and quantitative methods from an historical point of view. 

The International Committee for Historical Demography (ICHD) 
is an association of members of different nationalities, whose aim is to encourage the study of the history of population and of human society in general, and to further scientific exchange between researchers. The website is linked to a Facebook page.

The Mosaic project 
identifies, gathers, harmonizes, and distributes surviving historical census microdata for Europe and beyond. It aims at building a comprehensive and detailed resource for the historic study of populations by historians, demographers, economists, and other researchers.
