Henriette Roland Holst

A film documentary called Droom & Daad (Dream&Deed) about the Dutch poet and socialist Henriette Roland Holst is first performed in EYE Film Museum Amsterdam on 24 November.
Henriette Roland Holst (1869-1952) sat with Lenin and Trotsky and corresponded with Rosa Luxemburg. She died sixty years ago on 21 November 1952.

The documentary made by Annette Apon shows Roland Holsts deepest dilemmas. Historical footage and letters, speeches and poems from Roland Holst lead us into the turbulent 1910s and 1920s.
