Socialist Cigars

9 September 1963

By celebrating its 100th anniversary at a conference from 9 until 12 September 1963, the Socialist International traced its roots back to the founding of the Allgemeine Deutsche Arbeiterverein (ADAV) in 1863. This box of cigars was presented to the participants of the conference in Amsterdam. The cigar bands show famous socialists including Marx, Engels, Adler, Jaures, Bebel, Branting, Troelstra, Hardie, De Paepe, and Bakunin.
